Professional Development Coordinator

Premier, boutique, litigation, law firm is seeking a Professional Development Coordinator to provide support for the day‐to‐day execution of professional development functions at the Firm. The successful candidate will work with the Professional Development Manager and People Team to contribute to a diverse range of functions, with significant room to take initiative and play an impactful role in continuing to build a successful and growing firm.

Responsibilities
- Support the professional development function at the Firm by gathering, organizing, and disseminating information related to the Firm’s employee on‐boarding and integration and firm-wide training initiatives.
- Work with the Professional Development Manager to implement annual and interim performance review processes and assist with viEval administration.
- Assist with coordinating in‐house Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs, tracking lawyers’ CLE compliance and bar admissions status, maintaining CLE‐related records and the Firm’s accredited‐provider status; manage viLMS and related administrative tasks
- Coordinate the details of the Firm’s Core Curriculum including working with attorneys to prepare program materials, liaising with office leaders to reserve conference rooms and secure audio/tech for training programs.
- Provide on the ground in-session support and ongoing interaction with industry vendors to support learning initiatives.
- Help to manage internal effectiveness efforts at the Firm, including through internal communications, programming, and events.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a combination of employment, educational, and life experience that demonstrates the qualities and skills below:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s and at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in project coordination, professional development, education, or Human Resources. Professional services experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: You have advanced knowledge in MS Office Suite and are proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Clear Communication and Attention to Detail: You express yourself clearly and concisely, always highlighting the most important information. You proactively communicate the status of your work and share updates with colleagues when necessary. You ensure that your work is mistake-free. You have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ownership, Initiative, and Teamwork: You take ownership of your projects and follow through on their completion. You proactively anticipate, communicate, and work to independently resolve obstacles you encounter in your work. You possess a strong customer-service orientation and ability to work well within a team as well as the ability to be a brand champion.
- Organization and Project Management: You are comfortable balancing tasks of varying levels of urgency and complexity. You work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Flexibility: You are flexible to be available after hours and to work overtime as needed. You are comfortable in an environment where your responsibilities may vary from day to day. You demonstrate a “no job too big, no job too small” attitude, and take a collaborative, team-focused approach to rejuggling priorities and contributing to tasks across the Firm.

*In addition, the successful candidate will be based in the New York area or willing to relocate and will be available to work 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position.
**Compensation: The expected base salary for this role ranges from $70,000.00-$75,000.00, plus overtime and bonus and is dependent on experience.
