Private Equity/M&A Associate (Mid-Senior Level)

Summary
Our client is seeking a mid-to-senior level private equity attorney to join their Chicago, Columbus, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, New York or Washington, D.C. office. Successful candidates will work with middle market private equity funds, family offices, independent sponsors and family-owned businesses in connection with leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, structured equity investments, and other strategic transactions. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a team-oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong law school credentials and references.

Responsibilities
• Receive training opportunities with growing levels of responsibility.
• Gain experience as responsible attorney on M&A transactions.
• Collaborate across practice groups and across offices.
• Have opportunities for advancement in a collegial environment.
• Work in a small office atmosphere with the resources of an AMLaw 200 firm.
• Engage in business development activities.

Qualifications
• Have AMLaw 100/200 experience with private equity transactions and interacting directly with clients.
• Have an undergraduate degree in business.
• Have been licensed to practice since 2015 to 2020.
• Have excellent law school and undergraduate credentials and references.
• Excel in a team environment.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in developing and implementing relationship building skills both internally and externally.
• Have experiences that prepare them to work with attorneys, staff and clients from cultures and backgrounds different from their own.
• Be highly motivated and a self-starter.
• Possess strong business acumen.
• Be flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Have excellent written and oral communication, as well as analytical skills.

Compensation range of $275,000.00-$365,000.00, plus bonus, depending on experience
