Litigation Paralegal

Summary
Our client seeks a litigation paralegal in their Dallas office to assist attorneys representing leading automotive manufacturers and distributors in a range of matters including state and federal proceedings, state motor vehicle proceedings, and class actions.
Responsibilities
- Performing a broad range of substantive paralegal tasks, you’ll work directly with attorneys on product liability, warranty, franchise and distribution law litigation, and other complex business disputes in a variety of industries.
- You’ll maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases and take ownership of case calendars
- electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system under the supervision of an attorney
- perform online PACER research
- prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions.
- Prepare deposition notices (organize, maintain and prepare deposition materials, exhibits and summaries)
- track and manage discovery, including document productions
- participate in case strategy meetings
- handle routine calls and correspondence to courts, outside attorneys, and clients.
Qualifications

- 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate (however, work experience may be substituted for education.)
- ability to conduct research using various research tools, including the Internet and Westlaw.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet business needs.
- at least 2 years of litigation experience in a law firm, including case preparation from beginning to end and an understanding of a paralegal’s role in the litigation life cycle, especially product liability litigation.

Compensation
Our client utilizes a 37.5 hour work week and the annualized salary range for this role is $60,000 – $75,000 (nonexempt).
