Litigation Associate

Summary

Our client is seeking a highly qualified 3^rd-5^th year associates to join the Commercial Litigation group in the New York office. The team is comprised of high performing, creative thinking trial lawyers. This position will provide an opportunity for greatly accelerated professional development, working directly with the senior members of the group, and require a desire to do the work necessary to capture that opportunity. The ideal candidates exhibit a passion for courtroom litigation, reflected by a broad body of work in the various stages of litigation and meaningful responsibility. Qualified candidates will have experience conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, witness preparation, and taking/defending depositions.

Qualifications

• Law firm and federal clerkship experience required. Trial experience is highly preferred. Plaintiff side litigation experience is a plus.
• Candidates should be enterprising and tenacious, with a primary desire to become a first-chair courtroom lawyer and a willingness to do the work necessary to achieve that goal. Qualifications and experience demonstrating such interest, desire, and ability are paramount considerations. 

Skills & Experience

Required

• Candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school (T14 school is preferred.)
• Must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and all levels of personnel and handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, while demonstrating initiative, diplomacy and tact when under pressure.

The salary range for this position is $250,000.00-$325,000.00, plus bonus.
