Legal Recruiting Specialist

The Legal Recruiting Specialist works directly with the Legal Recruiting department and Hiring Partners to assist in the Firm’s Legal Recruiting and Summer Associate programs.
Job Responsibilities include: coordinating all aspects of on-campus interviews including: ensuring all materials and surveys are sent to law schools, overseeing rooming lists for schools with hotel blocks, coordinating Associate staffing of hospitality suites, and representing the Firm at hospitality suites; reviewing mail-in and batch resumes; proofing recruiting letters and assisting with generation of letters after on-campus interviews as needed; preparing applicant papers for in-office interviews and completing reference checks; escorting applicants to office interviews as needed; scheduling applicant second visits; completing NALP Feedback Forms and various surveys as needed; organizing 1L Mock Interview Programs; screening 1L applications; coordinating several aspects of the Summer Associate program including: coordinating summer housing screenings, writing Summer Associate biographies, assisting with the planning of and attending Summer Associate orientation weekend, and overseeing a group of Summer Associates, including frequent monitoring of Summer Associates’ experiences and conducting exit interviews; maintaining and populating information in various departmental calendars and databases; assisting with organization of lateral interviews; and performing other duties, as assigned.
Job Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; 2-3 years working in a legal or other professional services environment with prior experience directly in legal recruiting; strong interpersonal skills; a well-organized work manner; the ability to prioritize, multi-task and use superior judgment when making decisions; the ability to maintain confidentiality; the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a wide range of professionals; the ability to work and interact with attorneys at all levels and maintain a strong knowledge of the Firm, its culture, practices and policies; the ability to work well under pressure; the ability to solve problems and meet deadlines; and the availability to work additional hours and/or travel, as needed; experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
