As a Legal Recruiting Manager (or Senior Manager), you play a pivotal role in sourcing, recruiting, and hiring top legal talent for our organization. This role demands a deep understanding of legal recruitment processes, particularly within the context of OCI programs commonly utilized by law firms and legal departments. Responsibilities
Recruiting
- Develop and Implement Recruitment Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies tailored to attract top legal talent through OCI channels. Utilize a variety of sourcing techniques to identify qualified candidates, including direct sourcing, networking, referrals, and online platforms.
- Manage OCI Programs: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of OCI programs, including scheduling interviews, coordinating logistics, and managing candidate communications. Build strong relationships with law schools and career services offices to optimize recruitment efforts and enhance the organization’s visibility on campus.
- Candidate Evaluation and Selection: Conduct thorough assessments of candidate qualifications, including academic credentials, experience, skills, and cultural fit. Collaborate with hiring managers and stakeholders to evaluate candidates and facilitate the selection process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
- Serve as a Brand Ambassador: Represent the organization at recruiting events, career fairs, and networking functions to promote the employer brand and attract top talent. Effectively communicate the organization’s value proposition and opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Provide Guidance and Support: Offer guidance and support to candidates throughout the recruitment process, including resume review, interview preparation, and negotiation assistance. Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for candidates, fostering positive candidate experiences and promoting the organization as an employer of choice.
- Stay Current on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and innovations in legal recruitment and OCI programs. Leverage insights and market intelligence to adapt recruitment strategies and stay ahead of the competition in attracting top legal talent.
CLE Responsibilities
- Program Development: Creating and developing CLE programs that address the needs and interests of legal professionals within the organization. This may involve identifying relevant topics, securing speakers or presenters, and coordinating logistics for CLE events.
- Compliance and Accreditation: Ensuring that CLE programs comply with state bar requirements for accreditation and that attendees receive proper credit for participation. This may involve understanding and adhering to state-specific CLE regulations and reporting procedures.
- Marketing and Promotion: Promoting CLE programs to internal stakeholders, including attorneys, legal staff, and other professionals within the organization. This may involve creating marketing materials, managing communication channels, and encouraging participation in CLE activities.
- Administration and Logistics: Handling administrative tasks related to CLE programs, such as registration, attendance tracking, and evaluation. This may also involve coordinating venue arrangements, catering, and other logistical details for in-person CLE events.
- Evaluation and Improvement: Collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of CLE programs and identify areas for improvement. This may involve analyzing survey data, monitoring attendance trends, and making recommendations for future program enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; JD or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in legal recruiting, with a focus on OCI programs and campus recruiting initiatives.
- Strong understanding of the legal industry, including law firm dynamics, practice areas, and hiring trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in recruiting software and applicant tracking systems (ATS); experience with OCI platforms and tools preferred.

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $150,000 – $225,000, exempt.
