Commercial Loan Closer

Responsibilities & Duties
The Commercial Loan Closer will be responsible for completing tasks related to the closing of commercial loans. The closer will work with internal and external parties including lenders, clients, borrowers, third parties (such as escrow agents and title companies), and Firm attorneys and paralegals to process complex commercial loan closings. The closer is responsible for quality control of all closing documents and is expected to:
- Track, collect and assemble appropriate closing documents, due diligence and information in connection with loan transactions
- Review organizational documents and confirm all parties and signature blocks are accurately reflected in all closing documents
- Confirm all signature pages have been received and all documents are complete
- Prepare and review loan documents for execution by all parties
- Prepare UCC Financing Statements
- Confirm all loans are closed in compliance with Firm and client procedures and requirements, and follow up, as needed, with borrowers, lenders and title companies on items required to close
- Prepare and deliver required final loan packages and binders to client
- Follow up on post-closing delivery requirements
- Maintain tickler files and inform attorneys and paralegals of missing delivery and post-closing items
- Proofread and comfort form loan documents for alignment with client drafting rules
Qualifications
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have beginning-to-intermediate knowledge of lending and closing procedures, and experience with title insurance policies
- Must have an associate degree or equivalent from a college or university and 1-2 years of commercial loan closing/paralegal experience OR a high school diploma and at least 3 to 5 years of related commercial loan closing/paralegal experience, education, and training
- Adept at working both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail are a must
- Must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with overtime

**The anticipated base salary for this position is $70,000.00-$100,000.00, plus overtime and bonus. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of job related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials and certifications, responsibilities and performance.
