The firm is looking for a Bankruptcy Paralegal to provide essential support to their Restructuring & Finance Litigation practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. You will work closely with attorneys and other paralegals to manage complex bankruptcy cases and provide exceptional service to their clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on the Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and local court rules.
  • Oversee bankruptcy case calendaring and tracking deadlines, preparing for hearings, and monitoring case status.
  • Perform electronic court filings in the relevant courts.
  • Prepare and review various pleadings, motions, objections, and notices for accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage document production, discovery processes, and creditor/debtor communications.
  • Communicate with clients, creditors, trustees, and court personnel to facilitate case administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the bankruptcy and restructuring team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on bankruptcy law.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures.
  • Knowledge of foreclosure and/or litigation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of filing through the CM/ECF system in all bankruptcy courts.
  • Familiarity with the Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and local court rules. 

*The range of base salary the Firm reasonably expects to pay for this role is $85,000.00-$120,000.00, plus overtime and bonus. The actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon factors such as experience and qualifications.
