Part-time Case Assistant (Temporary/Temp to Perm)

The Part-time Case Assistant, working under the guidance of attorneys, will be responsible for utilizing a broad range of skills to meet the needs of the firm and its clients. The Case Assistant will provide organizational, analytical and research support on a variety of matters. This position will be approximately 21 hours per week.
This is a temporary position, with the possibility of going temp to perm.
Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of attorneys, perform legal and factual research on a wide range of topics.
- Review and analyze documents.
- Draft memoranda and reports.
- Provide due diligence and analytical support.
- Review, organize, and evaluate data, rules, and regulations.
- Prepare reports for attorneys and/or clients.
- Communicate with government agencies and a diverse range of clients.
- Review and organize legal documents, including contracts, leases etc.
- Conduct financial analysis.
- Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- This is an entry-level position.
- Some familiarity with co-op and condominium housing, commercial and residential sales and acquisitions, and borrower-side lending a plus.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding sense of customer service.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Must have intellectual curiosity and be resourceful in solving problems.
- Facility analyzing, working with and presenting data.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to execute projects through to completion.
