Summary

A national law firm has an immediate opening for a Credit and Collections Manager in our Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Nashville, New York, or St. Louis office.

Responsibilities

Credit:

  • Develop and implement credit related processes and reporting requests.
  • Monitor, evaluate, analyze, and communicate changes in credit and performance risk of assigned client portfolio to Director of Accounts Receivable, Director of Financial Operations, CFO, and other shareholders as necessary.

Collections:

  • Prepare monthly reporting to aid in preparing the monthly financial reporting process.
  • Effectively oversee collection operations and ensure timely handling of client and attorney requests.
  • Collaborate with collections team members to oversee A/R Management with a focus on mitigating post 90-day delinquent accounts as well as large balances on higher risk clients.
  • Report any significant changes to Director of Accounts Receivable, Director of Financial Operations, CFO, and other shareholders as necessary.
  • Lead Credit and Collections Department, making sure firm policy and client guidelines are followed.
  • Recommend stop work for delinquent accounts with increased credit risk.
  • Ensure deadlines and quality standards are met; communicates with firm leadership regarding areas of concern and non-performance.
  • Analyze collections practices to identify process improvements and make recommendations for efficiency enhancements ensuring quality and integrity within firm policies.
  • Develop and train team members to adapt to new technologies and processes to keep pace with evolving market changes and client demands.
  • Participate in annual performance reviews and lead staff to driving personal development initiatives and successful completion of annual goals.
  • Ensure department processes and policies are documented and centralized.
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new software, including testing and training.
  • Manage roll out of special projects and collections pushes.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in software programs: Microsoft Excel and Word; 3E; ARCS.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Employees approved for flexible work arrangements are expected to be available and maintain a practice of reliable, consistent attendance at all times during the employees scheduled work shift including, but not limited to, instant message, Zoom, email and voicemail, and by phone.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $120,000 – $150,000.
