Strategic Pursuits Coordinator

As a member of the Business Development team, the Coordinator, Strategic Pursuits will support the Strategic Pursuits Center, a centralized firm-wide resource dedicated to driving the development of high-quality, time-sensitive firm-wide and cross-practice RFPs, pitches, and other new business proposals.  The Coordinator, Strategic pursuits will report to the Lead, Strategic Pursuits and will be responsible for helping to maintain the infrastructure of the Strategic Pursuits Center, as well as working closely with other business development team members and firm attorneys in connection with pitch and proposal efforts and new business opportunities.  This role requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with multiple stakeholders. 

In this capacity, the Coordinator, Strategic Pursuits will assist in:

  • Maintaining firm-wide pitch and proposal content library to include in strategic pursuits consistent with firm brand identity;
  • Tracking pitch and proposal responses and complete reporting related to win/loss and trends by practice, industry, geography, and client type;
  • Keeping up a repository of completed pitch and proposal responses;
  • Drafting and preparing tailored proposal responses highlighting the firm’s key selling points and points of differentiation in collaboration with the global business development team;
  • Coordinating final production of documents, including editing and proofing for format, grammar, and overall cohesiveness;
  • Working with the Competitive Intelligence team to conduct research on companies, industries, and competitors related to pitches and proposals; and
  • Supporting additional related projects within the BDev Department or Firm as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA a plus;
  • 2+ years of experience in legal or professional services industry with experience working on RFPs and proposals (preferred);
  • Expert proficiency in oral and written communications with strong editing, proofreading, grammar and research skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organization and project management skills;
  • Strong research and analytical skills and ability to turn data into useful deliverables;
  • Fundamental knowledge of legal concepts and of the needs and expectations of law firm operations, partners, and clients;
  • Fundamental knowledge of proposal systems and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, InterAction) a plus; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00-$85,000.00, dependent on location and experience
