Senior Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist

Position Overview
The Senior Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist works with the Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Senior Director of Talent Management, and Chief Talent Officer and in collaboration with the DE&I Executive Committee, Talent/Diversity Leads, the DE&I Advisory Committee and various affinity groups to instill and maintain a culture of inclusion across all areas of the firm.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary
- Coordinate programs and initiatives to support the firm’s DE&I strategies as it relates to the recruitment, development, advancement, and retention of diverse lawyers
- Lead support for various affinity groups to include the Asian & Middle Eastern, Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American/Indigenous Affinity Groups, and Women of Color Network
- Works with Human Resources to identify opportunities and implement DE&I initiatives for business professionals
- Responsible for evaluating and implementing DE&I workshops and training programs for business professionals, associates, counsel, and partners
- Develop relationships with external contacts to include clients, affinity bar associations, professional and community organizations to evaluate sponsorship opportunities, conference participation, speaking engagements and training opportunities for diverse attorneys
- Work with the professional/attorney development team to integrate DE&I throughout the attorney experience, including training, integration, mentoring, evaluations, and work allocation
- Collaborate with DE&I team to produce DE&I internal and external communications
- Responsible for leading efforts in pursuit of Mansfield Rule certification
- Work with HRIS, Billing, Marketing, Communications and Business Development team members, serving as main point of contact to complete diversity related surveys, RFPs, award submissions, reports and other statistical information for firmwide communications and committee meetings
- Develop relationships with attorneys and business professionals to become an advisor and resource for DE&I questions and concerns
- Supervise DE&I Assistant and interns

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Experience:
Five years of work experience with three years of diversity, equity and inclusion experience in a law firm or similar professional services environment preferred.
Special Knowledge:
Familiarity with recruiting, professional development, DE&I, business development, and organizational development preferred.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of Firm computer software.
Attributes:

Working Conditions:
